In Park District 1 it's OUR time... for a Change!
Hi! I’m LuAnn Wilcox and I would be honored to represent you on the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board.
You will find that my education, experience, philosophy and passion have prepared me well to serve you as both a tenacious advocate and conciliatory consensus-builder. I will never circumvent the citizen advisory process in order to expedite an agenda, and I will never take my sight off of the basics in order to build a bricks and mortar legacy (or asphalt and astro-turf, as the case may be). Let healthy trees, healthy youth and healthy communities be a living legacy instead!
I am single, age 50, and have a dog named Hallie. My days of playing team sports are over, but I’m an ardent fan of Gopher Women’s Basketball. Most of my leisure time is spent canoeing, hiking, biking and swimming, and I enjoy small theater productions. I work at Banning State Park during the summer and as athletics charter driver for Breck School during the school year.
